Youth by Sorrentino

After “La Grande Bellezza” a new rich, bright, melancholic and extremly visual film by Paolo Sorrentino with amazing actors Rachel Weisz, Harvey Keitel, Michael Caine and Paul Dano.

It´s a kind of grotesque surreal but always tender theatre about death, age, youth, love and the lost ideas in life playing in a sanatorium in the swiss mountains.

Selected filmmusic by among others Sun Kil Moon´s Mark Kozelek who plays a small part in the movie as singer at the pool performing these songs:

Bill Callahan covering Kath Bloom:

See the film still in selected film theatres in Berlin, I saw it in the lovely Blauer Stern Pankow.
